Hose Clamps

Hi-Line brings the store to you!

Hose clamps are most commonly used in fastening a hose to a pipe. They are most commonly made of Stainless Steel for strength and corrosion resistance. You will find these clamps in hundreds of different applications including transportation, plumbing, industrial plants and around the home.

What are the most two common types of hose clamps?

The hose clamps that are partial stainless steel will most commonly have a stainless steel band and housing with carbon steel, carbon plated screw and saddle. The hose clamps that are 100% stainless steel will have a stainless steel band, screw, saddle and housing.

What grades of stainless steel are hose clamps available in?

Hose clamps are available in grades 301,302 with fair corrosion resistance, 304 with good corrosion resistance and 316 with excellent corrosion resistance.

What different styles are hose clamps available in?

Below you will find the most common styles of worm gear hose clamps.

The general-purpose hose clamp that is most popular in automotive and general applications is only partial stainless steel. The general-purpose hose clamps made of 100% stainless steel are for use in outdoor, fresh water, and mildly corrosive applications. The higher-grade 100% stainless are for use in marine, underground and high corrosive applications.

The aviation hose clamps are made for the aviation and industrial use. They feature a wider band and heavy-duty construction that enables far more tightening torque to be delivered to the band perforations. These also come in 100% or partial stainless steel construction and grades of stainless steel.

The miniature style hose clamps are designed specifically for small diameter applications. They are a lightweight, streamlined configuration with higher sealing pressure with minimal torque. These also come in 100% or partial stainless steel construction and grades of stainless steel.

The liner or European band style hose clamps are designed for silicone and other soft type hose. The liner clamps have a smooth extra band on the inside of the clamp. The European style has ridges on the outside of the clamp and a smooth inside. These designs give better protection against cutting the hose. These also come in 100% or partial stainless steel construction and grades of stainless steel. The high torque hose clamps are designed where conventional clamps are inadequate or in applications where double and triple clamping is now needed. This is the original and still the highest torque rated worm-drive clamp available in the world. These clamps are bigger, heavier and stronger than most other styles of hose clamps. These clamps are almost always 100% stainless steel.
